Preserving digital material can be tricky because of its easy manipulatability and the constant updates being made to browsers and websites. If this site is printed out and stored in analog form much of its content will be lost, most importantly its interactivity. But if this site is left online as it is now, over time the links will break and the site might not even exist after a certain period of time. In attempt keep this digital project alive I can print it out, just for a backup’s sake, and keep copies of it in filing cabinets in different locations. I can also keep this blog updated and edit it when needed because part of the benefits of using a digital form it that you can go back and change things when they are not relevant or correct anymore. To keep this blog safe I can change my password every several months, make sure it is a strong password and limit who can view this blog.
